candukid I was playing A flex in my driver. Switched to a firm R shaft and like you really straightened out my shots and added some distance. Surprising to say the least.

Again, amen. My wife is still using them. I switched to System Q simply because I wanted to try an all hybrid set. Now that that is out the window I should switch back to the Adams.

Down in Florida and have three rounds in with the G400 SFT driver 10 degree. So far this thing is absolute money. First round was an executive course so only 3 driver holes. I had the NV green in the head and I definitely hit it too low. Lots of run out though and accurate.
Then switched to the stock Alta shaft and it got even better. Last round hit 12 of 14 fw's and the vast majority were absolutely center cut with a nice draw. I don't think I've hit a single fade , had one push that just stayed straight right. Distance is good, not great but we are at sea level here as opposed to home in Mi. I have it dialed up in loft, thinking of going down to 9degree and giving that a try.
Also want to give the NV another try as I'm a little more warmed up now as opposed to not having played for months before the first round.
I seem to not be getting any roll out with the stock Alta shaft just drops and stops more or less. We're playing a Village course today and the executive course we played earlier was very firm so I'll see how it does with a firmer FW.
But man, if going right is your enemy this driver is worth a try.

Kirkland 10.5* Driver paired with a Diamond Tour FGS Limey shaft stiff tipped 1 1/2”. Driver was sent to me by Al aka CallMeAl.

Played 18 with it yesterday, all I can say is I was impressed, great sound, feel and what impressed me most was it was no slouch in distance. I was playing a Srixon ZX Diamond ball. I have it turned down 2* which makes it 8.5*, I play 9 degree drivers.

Ball flight was mid to high, nice carry and no ballooning at all. For me this combo worked very well. Not sure how the stock combo compares. Nice looking club head too with the carbon fiber and gloss finish. The bottom of the club is very clean looking with a gloss black finish.

Got 12 holes in today (course was open for walking only) with the new PXG Wildcat irons 7-W, Project X Cypher. Low CG and traditional lofts yield high spinny soft landing shots. I hit full shots with the 7, 9 and W in my round. Feel is solid, sound is semi-clicky. Sounds like a poon-filled iron, as it should (polymer core). Plenty of offset and a nice wide Cleveland-esque V sole is very turf friendly. This design fits my swing well. I like these better than the Callaway Smoke HL. I chose 2 degrees upright and their lightest shaft. I really like the old school lofts. These might be around more than a few weeks. 😎

The Acer XDS 13 Wood is a cheater club. At 39.5" on an FGS+ wood shaft it's stupid proof. Mishits go as high and straight as center-struck, just not as far. My best shots today carried about 145. It was perfect for the one par 4 that I bought it for, but I used it a bunch today. Point, close your eyes, swing. 👍

I've got a XXIO 9 wood that's supposed to arrive today. I ordered it from Global Golf. They rated it as Very Good.
Most times I've gotten something rated Very Good from them I wasn't happy with it. I'm not expecting much
this time.

So a shaft review.....Aldila Rogue Elite Orange 788. I like it. How's that for a review? The numbers on the shaft (basically part of the model) refer to the firmness rating from the tip (7) middle (8) and the butt (8) so in the series (green, blue, orange) this is the highest launching of the 3. By no means is this a noodle. I would compare this to a Tensei AV Raw Blue with probably a slightly softer tip. If you need a firm or stiff tip this probably isn't for you. The best news is that there are some of these in the market place floating around CHEAP. I hit the Tensei pretty straight. This shaft is straight to a slight fade so far.

Typhoon Yeah it seems pretty decent so far. If I can learn to trust the ball flight it may keep me out of the left rough, but that remains to be seen. Another thing I liked about that shaft is that the tip was firm enough (along with be rest of the shaft) to keep the ball flight down. Not quite as nice feeling as the AV Raw Blue. Possibly the dumbest graphics I've seen.
I miss those 2 courses that used to be down behind that range. I had a fairly close encounter with what I feel was a wolf hybrid out on the Jungle course.
