sdandrea1 I'll check and see when I change underwear tomorrow.

Pics not necessary for proof. Your credibility is good with us and we will take your word. 😜

I almost pulled the trigger on the honma driver, but then I remembered two things:
1) At one point in time, Uncle Steve has pronounced untold hundreds of clubs as amazing, and
2) I'm married.

Oh, and I also remembered that I am in the middle of a driver funk so deep that no piece of metal on the end of a long stick is going to solve it. I wouldnt even be able to tell if it was a good driver or not.

rsvman2 Good call! Wait until you’re out of the funk. It amazes me how many peope come in for a driver fitting that are hitting it awful. I even mention that we will be back on such amd such a date if he wants to wait. “NO!!!!…. Need to spend $600 RIGHT NOW!!”

Typhoon Wait until you’re out of the funk.

This is why Spuzzy has 8 drivers of various specs shafted up right now.
I gots most of the variables covered...I think.

sdandrea1 Apparently, Papa Dee is not a fisherman. "210 carry into a constant dominant wind plus the largest Mango trees in the world blocking my view of the landing zone. Took a 3/4 smooth swing and ....."

Put together a short set of Maltby TE Forged. 7 - W with iDrive Tour Lite graphite. Had an OMG ball striking experience today that was long overdue. @azgreg was right. They might be traditionally lofted but feel and flight is Holy Grail shit.

sdandrea1 I heard so many great things about these irons. I'd test them out, but I'm fully committed to the single-length concept and have been for years. I have dabbled with going back, but always revert back to SL.

= Honeymoon. 🤣😂 Seriously though, the MO-5 ~ TE are cult classics and deservedly so.

            Eguller = Honeymoon. 🤣

I know we'll the honeymoon effect as I've had MANY loves! 🤣 It's just owning the art of the possible that makes these so attractive. The forged feel and high soft-landing shots might be worth the days that I'm not hitting it so well.

sdandrea1 The forged feel and high soft-landing shots

Ah yes, the good old days of ball striking. You forgot balata balls.

That is a good description of the Maltbys.

Dibs on the Honma 5 Wood when you use up all the Poon and go off on the quest for the new Holy Grail...

sdandrea1 Here’s my first on course impression of the HONMA! 3 wood.
First two drives with it went 230 yards and ended up 5 feet apart. Full disclosure, they probably ran 40 yards after landing. Low flight. I hit a few more and they all worked good. Typical shot was a draw, which I don’t get naturally.

I hit a couple of strong layups with it. They went further than I expected. But not very high.

The club swings easy, which I really like. It doesn’t want you to use brute force.

Played today with a nice set of PING i3 O-size in original PING/Aldila 350 A flex graphite. Black dot. Plenty of OG PING offset, smaller soles than the Eye 2+ and slightly stronger lofts (47 degree PW, for ex). High straight EZ hitting sticks. I'm gonna change the grips and take them to HHI next week.

Agreed, the 18* frwy is quite low ball goes far but not enough loft for this senior with middling club head speed same for the 22* hybrid. One does not want to get on them too hard. I have an Alpha VX 19* hybrid with the same slot technology which is also low flight I think with a descending type swing this kind of technology leads to lower ball flight.
