I'm still not eligible for a shot. I'm 64, so too young and I don't have any health conditions serious enough to put me in the high risk group. Neither does my wife, so we can be thankful for that.
Missouri has been one of the worst states for vaccine distribution, as low as 49th. It seems like a disproportionate share of the mass vaccine events have been going to rural areas. There are plenty of appointments available at these events (if you qualify) so people from St. Louis have been driving to them since there's very little available in the St. Louis metro area. Two of our friends drove three hours each way to get their first shots last week. I would have done the same. The distribution plan doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.
