Now that we have some idea of his injuries to his right leg. Which does sound pretty bad. Haven't heard any injuries to his left leg that I'm aware of.
It would seem that he would be at least able to play golf again (eventually) even if it's just recreationally with his son. Seems the left leg is more important to post up on. Just speculating. Too early to tell, obviously.
I knew a guy at my former club who lost a leg in a military training exercise. He was a low handicapper and was sponsored for awhile by some Champions Tour players after he played with them at the old Outback Pro-Am in Tampa Fl.
He had free use at David Leadbetter's golf facility in Orlando. Practiced next to Michelle Wie. Told the story of Gary Player giving him an envelope with $500.00 in it. Had an Adams Golf logo on his prosthetic leg. lol
