PA-PLAYA Dude was in a lot of pain two weeks ago. Unless they make a special cart exemption for him like they did Casey Martin (which didn't last long) I don't anticipate him playing again anytime soon. But if he decided to join the Champions Tour in a couple years, he'd get that cart. I just don't know that he's interested in golf that much anymore.
rsvman2 Eguller Nope. The backbone is connected to the neck bone, and the neck bone is connected to the head bone. Take it from me; I'm a doctor! 😁
mulegolf Ack8236 If the break was down a little closer to the ankle itself it could be an x-ray of my ankle when I fell and broke it. A couple of bolts and several screws along with a couple of plates and I was on the mend. They put a cast on it and I was on walker or crutches for 6-7 weeks. No weight on that foot at all. The fun part was laying on the gurney in the emergency room for 7 hrs. with no pain meds while they decided what they could do. One of the e-room Drs. thought he heard something in my heart and insisted they deal with that first. In the meantime and young girl who was studying to be a nurse ran into my foot as she was passing the gurney. She apologized all over the place but it still hurt.
Eguller mulegolf nurse ran into my foot as she was passing the gurney. You poor guy....I hope she was very nice to you after that. 😉
Ack8236 mulegolf They put a cast on it and I was on walker or crutches for 6-7 weeks. No weight on that foot at all. That's what my expectation was! I did have a cast for a week, then they put the rod through the middle of my tibia. I woke up with no cast at all. The next day they came in with a set of crutches and told me I could go home as soon as I walked down the hall and up and down stairs. I hopped out of bed in total disbelief, but did just that and went home. Incredible stuff they can do these days.
Ack8236 Walterjn People always ask if I have pain when the weather changes, have not had any issues at all and no pain after it healed. Broke it in December and was back to work, as a firefighter, and back on the ice playing hockey in March. So I've been very happy with it. I have after x-rays, I'll see if I can post one tomorrow. 😁
sdandrea1 PA-PLAYA Tiger's closing in on Evel Knievel's record of surgical procedures Evel Knievel's story didn't end well.......
Ack8236 Tiger has a looong way to go. https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/most-broken-bones-in-a-lifetime 1975 Evel Knievel (USA, b. Robert Craig Knievel), the pioneer of motorcycle long jumping exhibitions, had suffered 433 bone fractures by end of 1975.
Nat i don't know what the big deal is. a guy at my club had this done. he's painfree and back to shooting low-mid 80's from 5500 yds
Ack8236 Later I realized why I had "moderate" pain. They put the rod in my tibia, but I was walking around with the fibula broken in 2 spots with no cast or boot. All good now!
sdandrea1 Ack8236 When you break your leg, you go big! Why the hell didn't they shore up your fibular fractures? WTF?! A few screws would have fixed them.
rsvman2 Ack8236 They don't care about the fibula. Not essential. If your tibia is good, it's all good.
Weirfan Am I supposed to care about a washed up player who is no longer relevant to the outcome of a golf event ? He'll get to use a power cart on the Senior Tour. 51 year old Masters runner up, Phil can walk beside him.
kelco9 Weirfan Yeah, and that Nicklaus, Watson, Palmer, Player, Hogan, Sneed, etc. They're irrelevant, so why would I care about them? Why don't they just go away? 😳
