Yipsy People love to be lied
Not everyone, but many do. Learned it in my 1st sales job in college. Worked in a store selling mattresses. Was usually an easy sale if people shopped in dept store first as our prices were much lower for the same bed.
I cannot tell you how many people would b*tch that we charge $25 for delivery though. Even with delivery charge our beds were sometimes hundreds less. I'd say delivery can't be free unless their trucks, gas and drivers are all free; you are paying in the cost of the bed. Not true they would say; delivery is free! So I would say ok delivery is free and then bump the total up $25....sometimes more lol. In the beginning I would try to show people the math (I mean it's not calculus), but they couldn't comprehend and I realized it was easier to just lie.
