johnnydoom Great memories from Powderhorn. My Dad doesn’t play really but he’d go there with my for Twilight. I remember him using a balata Titleist that wouldn’t even roll right because of all the cuts in it from him. I put one of those weighted trick balls on the 17th green one time instead of his ball and he made the putt🙄.
My parents would drop me there and I’d play 53 holes… hilly place too. The only time my mother ever went out to play was me, my younger brother who was probably 8 at the time and my father, the 4 of us played. And one of the ponds I still see there… my mother tees off from the red tees in front of the water, the ball hit the rock that was sticking up in the pond and came back as a high fly ball that hit my brother.
