Bravopilot Central/Southern IL is going crazy over this 'thing'. Schools are closed, but they are saying it's due to excess traffic that is expected in towns everywhere.
Plus, there is so much 'gouging' by businesses going on it makes me want to puke. But, idiots will be idiots, and pay the prices.
Parking for 'open' viewing at a local fairgrounds is $10. Overnight camping there is $75. Hotels have doubled rates AND with a 2 night minimum!! etc., etc.
And there is no doubt/no questioning that some people will be seeing this same eclipse for years to come. IYKWIM
