I just checked our toilet paper stash and we're good. Apparently, one of the ships among the hundred or so blocked from being able to pass through the Suez Canal is headed to the US carrying the valued commodity. There may be shortages until the errant vessel clogging the channel is moved to allow normal traffic again.

mikeintopeka To be clear, the TP projected problem is based on world-wide shortage of shipping containers for wood pulp used to make TP, not the ship that was stuck--now no longer grounded but moving along.

Par4QC Based on the article, this issue has not gone away, could be a few months gap in product. Get the stand back out as I'm dropping by.

Bravopilot My mistake was getting the Mega rolls when I did buy, and I was actually finding some hidden specials, from vendors that normally don't sell such products.
We should be good through the 5th & 6th waves. 😁

Thanks for the heads up. Our stash from long ago is finally getting down there. Was thinking about replenishing and went ahead and grabbed another 96 rolls thanks to you guys.

Now, if we can only flush our toilets again. Our main sewer line is as stuck as the ship in Suez. 😂

Same applies to the goofs who are able-bodied who choose to take a motorized cart away from someone who actually needs it so they can joy ride around the store.

The grocery stores in the UK combat this problem by utilizing a chain lock concept, whereby the customer is required to insert £1 in the buggy handle device to unlock the chain (which is roughly $1.30 US) to use it. If they don't return the buggy to a cart corrale, they don't get their money back.

Wish it was that way over here in the states... and so does my automobile.
