.....okay he has played really well the last two tournaments .... Doing so again this week. If he continues this form, maybe even winning a tournament .... Anyone picking him for the Ryder Cup?

I would ..... Here is why:

Good RC record/history. Good teammate/easy to be paired with.
Great putter.
Played The Straits course well to finish 2nd to Day when he won the PGA their in 2015, playing some of the best golf I've ever seen. This is important as that is where it's being played later this year.
It would be a pretty cool story.

I think he has turned the corner. More Mature. Reminds me of Justin Rose. I think he would be a good cup pick. He should even play his way onto the team if he keeps up being in contention every week.

ode Apparently, the TV crew has already anointed him as 'the' man again. Watched 15 min. of the telecast and they showed at least 6-7 shots of his. Never saw #1 DJ, who was a shot or 2 under him, did see the leader for 2 shots.

Oh yeah, he's back....prolly odds on for the green jacket. 😒

Don't get me wrong, I want to see him as he was 2-3 years ago, exciting. But, let's not be hasty, as our Mothers used to say. Good kid, and am happy if he gets his game back in command. Golf needs it.

Par4QC I've never been too enamored with him, kinda think he's a pouty)whiny lil terd. RC a long ways off and he has a lot to do to gain real consideration...but I think he's on the radar!

ode He's building points, for sure. Let's hope he doesn't fry himself again, as he did to cause his slump of the past 2 years. Can't win them all, so don't play them all. Hopefully, he's learned, but, isn't this 3 in a row now??

Par4QC yes ..... agree, would not advise quantity just to gain points. If he's playing well enough in the tournaments/fields he's likely to play in, it'll get him close. I'm curious to see how he does at the Masters!

I'm a really big Spieth fan and I really do hope he's back. All signs seem to point in that direction. BUT, though I didn't watch much of the last couple of tournaments (cause golf's boring 🙂), I did fast forward through the PVR to see how Spieth was doing, and I found myself wondering if he hit any fairways. His driving from what I've seen really sucks! He better get it under control if he's going to stay "back."

I don't think I would pick him at this point...

Should be an interesting final round - especially if Burns doesn't distance himself, or even backs up some, in his final five holes. Right now, four of the top five on the leaderboard have never won before. Though maybe that makes it less scary for the leader? Depending on tomorrows weather, if it's windy again, I think the winner could come from 6 back (maybe more).

I would make all my Ryder Cup picks as late as possible. All these guys go hot and cold.

Bravopilot Stricker gets six picks this time.

Yes, although most "experts" say hard not to pick all the Top 10 guys.
It does allow for flex as you say, but my guess it will take an injury or Spieth-like play from 2018 to get a guy booted off.

Spuzz Most likely, except Reed, he may require some serious thought if not top 6 and others playing well late. Course is tricky and may require different players.
