I see a lot of heads for sale that are 'off the tour Van'. They come complete with the sticker/specs where they were tested and show the numbers of such. These heads are, of course, priced outrageously above what any head would normally sell for, sometimes double the price.
The stickers show the CT....hotness....of the face. Normally they show anywhere from 244-238.
Those heads are junk!!
Then a few days/weeks later you might see that same head for sale by some idiot buyer, dirt cheap.
You are better off mentally, to buy from some store rack, not knowing the CT. But you will, or should with any experience, know if you got a 'hot' head, or a dud/junk. With as many TM drivers/heads for sale always, I'd say they put out a lot of low CT heads to stores.
