Par4QC I thought he got off easy but agree in the US judges are way too lenient--I do not know what "guidelines" say but think judges use these excuses on following the guidelines.
In the USAF flying game, check rides always get down to techniques (guidelines) to procedures. Can't really fail on techniques since they differ from set procedures. Joke is always about techniques when doing something wrong.
