Eguller I think the hidden story there is that TW is walking 18 holes and carrying or pushing a bag.(??)
I have seen some vids of him hitting balls recently. Most likely playing with Charlie in the father/son tourney soon. He can use a cart there.

The course is at elevation and the cut line in recent years has been between -5 and -7 😳

I was listening to PGA Tour radio on the way to play golf this morning and they thought she'd struggle to make the cut. It plays long (7255) which will put pressure on her short game and that's her weakness.

Still, she's used to playing with the men at the QBE Shootout in Naples every year.

I saw that after the front nine today, Lexi was two over. As play was suspended, she was one over through 16.

She got it back to even Par after going -2 on her 1st nine. Starting the 2nd nine(front) and projection shows cut line at -1, for now. She'll need to go -2, -3 most likely, but got a chance at making the cut.

Good for her. I hoped she'd make the cut. I'm not sure putting is as much an issue for her, but rather proximity on approach shots.

I was hoping she'd make the cut but didn't expect it. She's the only LPGA golfer I remember from when I watched golf more regularly. My Dad likes her too. I remember feeling bad for her when she blew that one major down the stretch a few years ago.

I mean. is it a nice showing? I guess. She beat Tommy Gainey who shot 81 in the first round. Is that an accomplishment? I guess I don't understand the purpose of these situations until a woman golfer can easily make the cut and actually contend. At least she was under par, that's something. It's just a sideshow. I like Lexi and I still didn't make time to watch.

That's kind of my thought. The guys she beat pretty much played awful. So a woman who plays well can beat guys who have bad days? Is that something to be celebrated?
I do give her credit for being under par, though. That's something. And the fact the course length would be out of her comfort zone. I'm not hating, I just don't see the attraction until a woman can really compete.

Next time YOU go out to play, choose a course that is almost 7300 yds. and play from the tips.
Come back and post the results and how you feel about them, after having been playing courses that are about 1000 yds. shorter.
