My wife makes fun of me, but I am basically that guy holding the beer watching an event. I feel like I can't enjoy it if I'm trying to take a bunch of pics and video. I will take some pics here and there, but the phone is not glued to my hand.....of course it's maybe not that great that a beer is glued to my hand lol.
We were at concert a few years back and my youngest had a solo during a song and of course my wife was going to record the whole concert. She was annoyed I was just going to watch. Literally right before the solo her phone is going dead and she whacks me saying "get your phone and record this, mine is dead!". Of course my phone is jammed into my winter jacket that I'm sitting on. I actually get it out pretty quickly, but as I was working for a big Military/Aerospace company then, you couldn't do anything with the phone without fully unlocking it and once a day it would also ask for an 8 digit code along with the thumbprint. By the time I had it ready, the solo was ending and I didn't even hear it. I told my wife I have never hated her more 😡. Later I was able to see a crappy video from someone else's phone, but I'm still pissed I missed actually enjoying that moment. She has not asked me to record anything since though so maybe it was worth it lol.
