Mattyv I will not miss Sergio being on the tour.

I won't either, however, the official was incompetent in his ruling.
He made an assumption, (from the next fairway btw) which is a rulie no-no.
It's not wise to ass/u/me.

Even the tour said the official was wrong. Was just pointing pointing out that Sergio went into Sergio cry baby mode and had he handled it differently he might have had a different outcome.

I understand.
And I am pointing out that the outcome would have been the same, given the "no take backs as per the rules of golf"
(although with less drama of course)

The rules official made a mistake that was not reversible, and would have made the same mistake regardless if the player was an asshat or not. (and in this case the player is an asshat as history has proven)
The rules official did not deliberately rule incorrectly because of whom he was dealing with.
No amount of charm would have affected the outcome and Sergio knew this, so he had his say.
That is my point.

The majority will not miss him, imo.
His Ryder Cup playing days are likely over too (not Captain material either) so good time for him to jump ship.

Agree, they're all pretty bland and replaceable. Back in the day, love him or hate him now, Greg Norman had some swag about him, Phil, Tiger obviously. Now? Nobody for me, but I don't watch anything but the majors anyway
