I’ve been keeping a spreadsheet on some data. One the interesting things is what I’m finding between the KBS Tour 120 and the DG pro s300 shafts I have in my Nike Vapor pro and Vapor pro combo blades. I know the heads are different but really not by much. Lofts are the same.
I have the KBS in the Vapor pro irons and like everyone says they launch higher and spin more than the s300. So I get almost 1000 more rpm of spin, which is good because with the 8 iron pro I’m at 7100 and the pro combo 6100. I get a decent angle of 48 vs 45 degrees, total height of 32 vs 28 yards and even though the distance is the same, the KBS stops the ball 2-4 yards faster.
I like the feel of the KBS better because they have a higher balance point, I can also swing them faster for more ball speed. They are more accurate BUT smash factor is higher with the DG S300. This leads me to start paying less attention to smash factor.
Im trying to decide what to sell in the spring. Originally it was going to be the Vapor pros that I just fixed up. Now I’m not so sure... actually might put both sets up and see what happens!
