at last count I had played with/met well over 100 folks from FGI/here they have all been great people. Have some wonderful memories and God willing there will be many more.
I consider a number to be very close friends.
I have stayed at their houses, some have stayed at mine. We've travevelled thousands of miles or driven long hours to connect , shared hotels and houses with them for a week, gone to the Masters with them and welcomed them into my own home. I cannot recall Politics once come up in conversation , if it ever did it was in passing or jocularity.
There used to be more Forum gatherings , an annual charity tourney that Bryant held in NC used to attract 30 or more of us each May. Desert Storm in September has happened 19 times plus we've had a few winter gatherings and there have been impromptu ones where we meet up for a round when someone is passing thru, or in Niagara Falls like DC300 and I have done a number of times, or a charity scramble where we gather for a good cause.
Even guys like Rory or Phileo who might have at times had a few forum issues were enjoyable to play with.
Encourage you to look at attending Desert Storm one September. Great golf, great people, great times.
