Damn. This thread caused me to go buy a driver yesterday.

Inner voice was like... I have always wanted to try a Tommy Armour Driver. Maybe it would be good for my travel bag.

Daughter was going to DSG. Hey pick your old man up a driver. Completely normal day for my kid.

I went in and started hitting some things Thursday and Friday. Saw a little disparity on my swing speeds between the two shops I got on the monitor. I hit both the new Taylormade and the new Ping. I can't get over $500 for new, last time I bought new it was $300ish. Sheesh, my dad always used to say I have lived too long when he saw prices for things. Just crazy how it changes. I learned a few things, but still seem to be in between flexes and don't love the sound of hitting inside a booth. Going to try and take my current driver in to see how that looks and feels on the monitor. There are only a few PXG options around me, and they are scheduling 3-5 weeks out. I could lose interest by that time. I didn't get to try the Callaway or Cobra yet. All of these feel a bit tinny compared to my existing clubs. Don't know if that comes with the more forgiving face or not.

We played together in a Hoosier Daddy Open at Cool Lake around 2009. I don't recall what you were hitting but you were knocking the snot out of it.

You can't go wrong there. Not sure how, but TM put a ton of poon in the 2007 Burner.

Can’t imagine giving up on the G400max. One of our members bought the PXG that they dropped the price on. Slick looking club... he was showing me all the weight variations. He was so happy... and he hits this monster slice with it. He looks at the screen (he was at our indoor place) and says nothing. I was cringing inside for him....

G400 max is better than any driver I have played for the combination of forgiveness and distance.
I bought My PXG in the late fall so only played it for a month and the weather was in the 40's but initial results show promise. It is equally forgiving , looks and sounds better ....hard to judge distance due to temps but the one warmish day was good. I cant say more.

I have two shafts for it, Oban Devotion 6 and Fuji Pro 2.0. Leaning to the Fuji but again need to play it more. Using a Diamana 60 Ltd Edition in my 400 max. Certainly have no intentions of selling the G400 even with 2 friends in line waiting 😉

my buddy is getting fitted for and buying the G425 and i200 irons this spring. He plays the 400max now and since I reshafted it for him , he rarely misses a fairway and hits it pretty long 260 average or so. He is a fanatic so will know soon enough how he compares them

I have the driver and a High Loft 3 wood. I loved them both and even though I got a new driver (the XXIO) I still bag the HL 3 wood and occasionally play the driver too.

the 2016 M2 fairway is a cannon!

I had two, bought one of Jamez on the range first DS day in Phoenix in 2016 . Only $50 and some drinks.....Gawd I loved it. So good I shipped it home. Bought a back up. Incould hit that further than most their driver off the tee and so long from the fairway, Used it until late this year and just switched to a 16.5* Mavrik 4wood to get a bit higher launch off the deck.

The M2 5 & 6 hybrids are my back up currently. OH...the M2 3w 16.5* is the absolute bomb.

All separate purchases. Did get a surprise with the 3w. It has a shaft broke off in it.🙄

Nope. Can't remember where I picked it up, but I had it refinished by Continental Golf In a beautiful
SLDR semi gloss gray. I didn't care for the white. Had the M2 15* 3w but sold it - went too far !!
