1015 tee off, unfortunately my buddy never made it. He's feeling crap after his Covid vaccine jab yesterday, I said he deserves it for jumping the queue 🤣 (he was brought forward as vulnerable after a heart op). Never mind, we have a tee time Wednesday.
So played on my own under crisp blue skies and with very little wind, skipped a par 3 hole as it's only 90 yeards from a temp tee and the greenkeepers were busy working on new drains in front of green. Round in 2hrs 45 after getting held up for a few holes by a couple of 2-balls that had skipped part of the course. Getting the ball round well but the greenkeepers have applied some ball repellant and anti-gravity pellets to the greens, no birdies until #18 - 15' putt after a 160 yard 6 iron approach, made my day.
Actually greens have been verticut and sanded, so a bit bumpy especially if you're putting across the cuts rather than down the line of them.
