Eguller Yes. It is my impression that a 'course record' can only be recorded during a 'competition'.
Yeah, probably to be official. But the members know who has shot the lowest round. A guy in our senior quota group who claimed to be a 6 handicap 🙄(closer to a 3) shot a 63 for his lowest score. And he shot an 83 one time playing with me.
I will say this unrelated. My best round at the 🦊 was a par 71 and he was in my group that day. He’s very competitive, but knew I was playing well and was very nice with his comments. Like jokingly saying I was taking everyone’s lunch money etc..lol
My point is I think it helps playing with better players. I also shot another great round with him in my group. On #18 when we finished I said I think I shot a 72. He said no you shot a 73. And he was right. Like I say he was very competitive.lol
Edit: We saw Fuzzy Zoeller shoot the course record 61 that still stands today at the TPC Tampa (Lutz)
