Today I played a nine holer that @HybridWood likes. Meadowlark GC in Hinsdale IL. It is 3250 from the whites, which is really long for me. 400 yard par fours, 190 yard par threes. The greens are not guarded. I don’t know if any of you watch Mistah Short Hitter on YouTube. He hits the exact same distances as me, and plays long courses. Usually around par. Hitting long clubs all the time.
So I figured I’d try it. Yeah, right. I drove well, and hit my 4 wood right up by the greens. But I wasn’t chipping close enough to make the putts. 43 with 16 putts. My chipping out of long rough wasn’t horrible but sure could have been better.
The round was 2.5 hours plus. The starter said Fridays and holidays bring out the “beginners”, and have long rounds.
