Went to a local Sim this weekend and we played Bulls Bridge which is a ritzy private course about an hour west of my house....on the sim is likely the only way I will ever get to play it. We played some mixed tees that were about 6400 yards.
I shot 8 over, but that's a bit off as there was one hole where I never got to hit a tee shot, but it put me in the rough about 3o yards off the tee laying 3. Not sure what happened, but I just played it out (badly) for a quad lol. I think I was +1 on the front although I never hit a drive over 240 (most were 210 which was what the sim said I hit my 23* hybrid) but my irons were fantastic.
I played with 2 big hitters that couldn't hit a drive more than 10 yards beyond me so maybe something was up with the system or we are all super rusty. It did seem to register iron shots at yardages I would expect. As usual the shots inside 50 yards are tough to judge, but I didn't really have any for the front 9 as I kept hitting greens. The back 9 I was trying too hard to get something out of the driver and I did pull a few iron shots one of which went OB.
Not to trash my playing partners, but they were all 10 to 20 shots worse and one of them is a high single digit. Apparently not touching clubs for a couple of months can be a good reset for me.
