85 at Fox Hollow. Had 2 birdies (#2 and #3 handicap holes). The #3 handicap 7th hole I had 140 in and hit my 8 iron ~ 8 feet past the pin.
The #2 handicap 14th hole I had 165 to the pin with a lie below my feet. Hit 6 iron 2 feet past the pin. We thought it was an eagle because we couldn’t see the ball because of the Robert Trent Jones Sr. ridge on the green.
Obviously an 85 with 2 birdies there was some inconsistency. And there was. Shot a 45 on the front, but a 40 on the back. Found a little something on the back.
Did have one double on the back, but was bad luck. Hit my drive right and had a newly planted small oak tree that I thought wasn’t an issue. Wrong. Hit the tree and instead of my 7 iron shot flying on the green (hit it flush). It went on a 45 degree angle right. ⛳️🏌️
Long pants day for me with it being 52 degrees when we went out at 7:37. Got into the low 60’s when we finished. It was sunny though. ☀️😎
