Went for a simulator round at X Golf today. Cold and rainy outside.
Played The Old Course from tees at just over 6000 yards, a bit longer than I usually play. The difficulty was rated at five stars, so I expected a challenge.
For the most part, I hit the ball very solidly. Driver, especially, was on point. My worst drive was 214 and my best was 248. All of them were in play, and most were dead straight. My five-wood was on point, too. Hit it three times and all three were straight bullets. The longest of those was 212. Irons were sharp, too, for the most part. I had four birdies, two bogeys, one double, and 11 pars, for a 72.
That's the best score I have ever posted at a simulator round, so I was pretty happy with it.
