Not golf but I’m nursing a bad shoulder so I took 10 days off from speed work. I went to a covered range between accounts and took some swings…. Everything was good. Bonus was probably a half bucket of balls someone left behind. Only 3 people since it was cold. Got to put the new swing to the test. Had a 6 iron in the car and driver. Couldn’t see the drives with the overcast, irons were great for this being the first time really.

No score to post but had three nice birdies at Old Hickory.....jeezus the wind......wind, wind, and more wind! Two of the 5,s I went D, 4w, 4w......and D, 4w, 4hdi. The other two I birdied🙃

Layover in Vegas today on the way to Hawaii so we played Stallion Mountain on a last minute Golfnow deal. Followed a 5 some that wouldn't let us play through. 4th hole 540 straight par 5 from the tee we can see all the way to the green, not a person in sight. 3 some that started 30 minutes after us caught us on hole 5. 3some after them caught up on 8.
4 and a half hours watching these clowns. Starter let them out as a 5some. Didn't know the course so I didn't want to just jump a hole. Some people just suck. Shot 86.

83 at Fox Hollow. No birdies. 43 degrees when we went out at 7:22. Wasn’t bad though being a sunny day. Drove the ball well, but irons sucked.

The best iron I hit was on #14. Hit my drive in the rough on the right. Had ~ 140 to the front pin. But had to clear a tree in front of me.

Hit my 7 iron that just cleared the tree and saw it bounce on the green ~ 15 feet past the pin. Putted pretty well today. I did par the number 1 and 2 hardest holes (#3 and #14).

So there’s that. ⛳️🏌️‍♀️😎 Oh, and had two Sandy’s!!

Busy day today......Had my evaluation for my knee with the Physical Therapist (I start PT next week), then played 18 holes at Detwiler Park in Toledo. Weather was cool and windy, but doable. Kind of a disappointed with my round, but then I hadn't played or practiced in over a week and it showed. 40-41-81, but it seemed much worse than
that. 1 birdie / 7 GIR / 35 putts. May well have been my last round of the season......

Decided I was sick of driving at the day job. Did a little work but met the other pros for a noon tee time. I didn’t bother bringing my clubs from the basement. Put those away in September. Took a 6 iron, 50 ( that I never used) and 56… no putter…. From the pro shop, grabbed my old Ping bag out of the rental shed (that had a lefty driver in it) and played with them. 3-4 beers and 4-5 shots while we were out there. They quit after 9 so I played the rest with a member that was going out. I shot -2😂😂

It’s really fun just using a 6 iron for almost everything. Rarely used the 50. I rode with our head pro and the joke was “ I have 197 what should I hit?” “6 iron”. “ I have 140 what should I hit?” ….” 6 iron”.

Went over at 2pm ans Walked the front 9 with buddy.
had no expectations just happy to be out as course has been closed this week due to snow
.....lipped out 8 foot birdie putt on 9 to miss setting my all time PB . Still ties it with a -1/35

Not sure what happened but hit every fairway and 8/9 greens

Also lip out birdie from 12 feet on 7 .....woulda, shoulda, coulda

Only played 9 as the course was packed and it had taken over 2 hrs. just for the 9. Carts had to be in by 4:10 & it was after 3 when I quit.

Last 2 days of golf weather here and most courses have already announced that Sunday they close.
So, everyone took the day off, took the whole damned family out golfing.....little kids included. WTH were they thinking? And why did the course allow that, along with all the lollygagging walkers?

Out again tomorrow, earlier, with Jake for the last round. Lucky to get a time before noon.

Played Volcano GC on the Big Island today. Pretty much a locals course with the bumpiest greens I've ever played. Very tight and often bare lies. Decent design, just needs some TLC. I shot 86 but couldn't make anything outside of 4 feet.

It's been a while I made an eagle : the opening par 4 on our course is quite narrow but drivable. 2 double bogeys and a couple of bogeys later ended at +5.

I played yesterday, but shouldn't have. Weather forecasters were WAAAY off lol. Supposed to hit at least 50, but be really windy. They only got the windy part right. It maybe hit low 40's, but was 10* colder with the wind. And it also rained, snowed and hailed on us even though none of that was forecasted. Felt lucky to shoot 91 with my hands frozen. Probably a good time to end the golf season.

KCee You’re crazy! What forecast did YOU look at? Even I knew the weather was gonna suck. Night before it rained the whole ride back from Foxwoods at midnight…. That was fuckin pissa.

Typhoon Accuweather and another app said it would be windy, but no rain and not that cold. They got the forecast about right for Saturday when I did leaves most of the day, but they were way off on Sunday.

Yes there was a big t-storm Saturday night. We got a good amount of rain. I saw that forecasted which was why I did leaves Saturday while they were still dry.

KCee I knew the wind would suck Sunday so I didn’t bother with leaves on Saturday. Bad enough Sunday when I blew them out of the bushes to put up the lights, 20 minutes later more blew back in. My house it like a vacuum.

Typhoon Yeah I did leaves for nearly 3 hours Friday and spent another 5 hours or so Saturday and this morning my yard looks covered again 😡 The oak trees can drop leaves in volume all year long.
