That’s weekend golf for you! Doesn’t matter who you are… you gotta play during the week or forget it. As I’ve said before… nobody knows how long golf should take. Ask them and they say “we’re here for the day.” Weekend shooters are about drinking and driving a golf cart, not about the golf. You guys were a rarity!

    Shot an 86 today. 4 triples. Ugghh. Struggled with the driver and tried to do too much. Chipping and putting were hot and cold

      Me and you, we're smart enough about this shit. I didn't even put the PW in the bag, used 5-9 and a 58* SW, not even a GW in the bag!! They played great, shot a 76 using them and................

            Typhoon Yeah many of my recent rounds could have been under 80. I was good thru 8 and then tripled 9 and 10. I was a bit wild all day but my chipping and putting were saving me a lot. Oh well didn't lose money.

                    I shot 40-40-80 today at Sandy Creek GC in Monroe, MI. Hot and humid, temps in the 90's, so I rode today.....
                    hit the ball OK , but chipping and putting was not very good. No birdies, 9GIR, 34 putts......

                    95 degrees today, barely bearable. 🙂
                    Shot 81 with 32 putts. I either hit the green and 2 putted for par (10 times), or I missed the green and didn't get up and down. Only saved par once, and that was a double sandie on 18 with a putt from the fringe. But no 3 putts, so that's great.

                    My sand play sucked. I hit two over the green, and the other two barely out and onto the fringe. So there is definitely something to work on.

                    Was in an Am Tour Tourney today. Walked and it was quite hot but a nice brisk wind.
                    Went 40/40 from the Golds playing around 6350
                    Was a great day for 17 holes but ended with a dreaded triple on 18 , my one missed fairway on the day and my go to cut decided to draw deep into the trees.

                    Ended T8 out of 49 in A Flight so not bag .....BUT geez, the woulda shoulda coulda 😉

                      Paired up with a twosome of 30 somethings today. They went off the back tees. This course is usually firm and fast, so I tagged along. Course was not firm and fast. First three holes, all Par 4s, after good drives I hit 5 wood, 4 hybrid and 5 wood into the three greens. I finally said "sorry kids, I'm moving up to the Blues".

                      The next three holes, the blue tees were placed adjacent to the back tees. Thanks.

                      Shot a 39. Parred the first 5 holes and just missed birdie putts on three of them. This wonderful ball striking round included a 7 on the last and toughest hole.
