Sneakylong I lived in Florida back in the 1980’s and played some Spacecoast Tour events. On a normal size course I’m typically -4 (handicap is +3.4}. Since going to a shorter course I haven’t bothered paying for a GHIN because I really haven’t played the last 3 years… it would be lower than +3.4 I think.
I keep it in play off the tee, still hit it 280, accurate with my irons because I don’t go after sucker pins. I play a draw…. It don’t try to cut one into a right pin. I’d the pin is on the right, I hit to the middle of the green, take my 2 putts at worst. I’m looking at GIR’s. I practice green side shots and chips all the time so I get it up and down a lot if I miss a green.
I don’t try for the hero shots…. They cost you more than they reward you
