Senior league match away at Windyhill, the most appropriately named golf course ever. except it wasn't windy today - scorching sun, way too hot for comfort, and water bottle couldn't keep the hot out for long so little chance of respite. It was hilly, way more than I remember from days watching our junior team play there, in fact it's a fekin' goat track with too many blind shots (including a 161 yard par 3 you can't even SEE from the tee box) and fairways that repel golf balls at 90 degree angles.
Played OK but driver wasn't as straight as usual, some sloppy approach shots, and putts that were perfect for distance but missed by an inch or two, meant me and my partner lost our 100% record 3&1. Team got 'washed 0-4, easy to see why our opponents are currently (and usually) top of the league; it's the most difficult away venue on the rota.
On the bright side, got to use my Epic Flash 5W a couple of times, and it behaved as well as it did on the practice ground last night (and the matching 3W arrived while I was out).
