Yesterday, I hit the driving range, just to work on my driver. Hit most of them straight, had a few that went to the right. Those were more of a gentle slice that stayed on the range, and off of the fw next door.
Pulled my 3 wood out and worked on that as well, trying to get it into the air and fairly straight off the deck. After that, I ran into a buddy and decided to play 9, and drive. After that 9 I went back around for another 9. I was a mess for both. Shot a 48 for the first 9, and a 47 for the second. Lost a ball on 6 and couldn't seem to get it into the hole. On 8 I got a birdie with a nice 15' putt that just broke perfectly. Most of those holes yesterday were double or triple. Same with the second go round. Blew up on 6 again, didn't lose the ball, hit a tree and sent it back toward me, tried to keep it low, clipped a branch and dropped it hard on the other side, my 3rd got me to the tee box of 7, clipped another tree from there it just went like that yesterday. Normally, I'm either on the fw, or I've sliced it bad enough that I'm away from all those trees with a clear shot. Birdied 7 though... Go figure. Had a good time, and tried to not swing hard as my back was a little sore and I was tired from driving most of the day
