How did you shoot today at Golf
Finally got my first round of the season in. I was fairly pleased with the outcome.
43-41 for an opening day 84. I had 28 putts (1 3-putt and 1 chip-in), and I converted 8 greenside opportunities. That's what helped my score. I hit 11 fairways and the misses were all in the first cut, so no real problems there. The biggest problem was lack of distance off the tee which put some pressure on the rest of my game.
All in all, a satisfying start to the season.

Good for 4th place in our flight (4 flights total)
Missed 3rd place $$ by 0.2 strokes in our flight…
Sandbagging lying bass turds I tell ya!!
Have never driven the ball as well as I did today…EVER…and all of them longer than my personal norm…only missed 1 fairway…crazy shizz…I earned the new title “fancy pants shaft guy” …go HOF go!
Decent 85 today considering the wind. Great zig and zag with my partner to win low net. Also won a skin. Driver was a bit straighter.
VigilanteTrail Fivesome?
Bravopilot Fivesome?
Yes…no idea why the Opening Day scramble is a fivesome format…but it always has been…must be a story behind it I imagine
Another 85. No real wind just horrible putting.
Due to flooding we played the back nine twice today. It's a little easier than the front nine, at least for me. I shot 81 with 2 birdies on par 3's, and a triple. My swing thought was not working so I only got 6 greens. I adjusted it and was better on the second nine.
The triple was just me doubling down on stupid. I KNOW that on this course, when I have a bad shot, I have to switch to bogey mode. But I didn't, so I followed a topped shot with a hero attempt that ended up in the woods.
Went out today but quit after 9. Chiropractor says I have a "displaced rib" whatever that means. Couldn't get through the ball so figured why struggle. Beautiful day though.
So I got out and played my first 18 hole round since God Knows when. Used the Nike Vapor Pro combos I picked up last week. Haven’t played more than a 9 hole round or 2 over the last 3 years and that was with only a couple clubs.
Hit 16 greens, hit every fairway ( which never happens). Shot -4. Didn’t try to swing hard because of the rib cage pain. Worst club in the bag, and the faulty club on the 2 misses greens were the 56 and 60 degree High Toe wedges. High right blocks on full shots…Odd….
After the round I worked in the shop and took the 60 with me and hit a few shots. Seems I was too steep and not a good weight shift.
Got in 9 this morning before my meeting. Biggest concern was the couple full wedge shots from yesterday. Dropped a few balls here and there and hit them fine.
Shot -2…. Just missed a few putts, seems the guy doing the holes doesn’t teams down around the hole. Every put breaking toward the hole and then gets to the hole and falls off in the opposite direction.
Played 18 yesterday at Paiute Wolf course, yesterday, gorgeous day and really nice course. Had 87 (43/44) with 36 putts. I really need to improve my putting.
Typhoon Our new superintendent is continuing the tradition of trying to have the greens absolutely perfect for a big tournament that runs May 31 thru June 2. To do that they tuck all the pins around the edge of green in spots there were probably not meant to be pin positions. It's all part of the tradition of trying to be the hardest sub 6000 yard course you'll ever play
Seymore101 Great courses out there

I shot 38-42-80 today at The Legacy by Arthur Hills in Ottawa Lake, MI, which was so wet that they weren't even letting carts out !!!! We walkers literally had the place to ourselves !! Played well on the front nine, but double bogeyed two consecutive holes on the back due to shanking a full 6 iron and a couple of partial wedge shots....... I have no clue why that happened, but it doesn't do the self-confidence any good !!! Luckily, I rallied to finish par-bogey-par. Hit 7 greens and 30 putts.
PS....the hole shown is #8, an obvious copy of #17 @ TPC Sawgrass. The story is that Art Hills did NOT want to put the hole on the course, but the owners insisted on it. So whenever Art played the course he always REFUSED to play that hole!!!
