Mattyv One guy tried to drive one of his Corvettes but couldn't find it. He finally remembered he drove it to work and swapped it for his Porsche.

Happens to me all the time

39, 38 - 77 today. Team won 2nd in 1 best ball on the par 3s, 2 best balls on the others. No double bogeys, no birdies. 6 bogies, 12 pars. Last round of golf in Florida as a resident. Said goodbye to the guys. It was a memorable 12 years with these guys. โค๏ธ๐Ÿฅน

Eguller If youโ€™re in the area, you know where to find a game.

Pretty sure we'll be back here ocassionally. ๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ

Shot a lousy 45 in league. I've lost the great driver swing I had on the FL trip. I'm hitting most shots off the heel which is opposite my usual miss and really goes nowhere. I'm also hitting big draws with irons and even PW. But of course my chipping and putting is coming around.

Played a guy with true vanity handicap last night. He's young and hits the ball a mile and I've seen him go really low, but he's clearly only entering his best scores. He was giving me 8 shots over 9 holes ๐Ÿ˜ฎ and shot a 44. Last year he was giving me 7 and I beat him outright. I wish he played in our group for money ๐Ÿคฃ

I had a good round this afternoon. 36-40 for 76. One birdie and five bogeys. I hit 11 greens and 33 putts. And I missed several birdie looks of 20 feet or less. No 3 putts.

I used the big fat Swing Science shovels. We finally have enough grass for them. I was 10 of 12 greens with the irons. I hope it continues.

Two of us played well and two played average, so as a team we won a few bucks.

The scorecard said 44-49/93, but with the shotgun start in our league it was actually 40-53. Three of my last 5 holes were a quadruple, triple, and quintuple. What a collapse after playing pretty well for 13 holes. Much foul language was spoken.

Individual tournament today. I was third gross in the first flight but got first net. ๐Ÿ™‚
        42-36 for 78, net 70. Same nine I shot 36 on yesterday.

8 greens, 30 putts. 2 birds, no doubles. 2 three putts from long range. I got 2 skins for a whopping $15. Ours donโ€™t pay big like some of you guys have. Thatโ€™s because they are flighted so itโ€™s a small pool, with several skins that hold up.

DonM got 2 skins for a whopping $15. Ours donโ€™t pay big like some of you guys have.

You just have to work a bit harder than some to get the $$$. ๐Ÿ˜‰

DonM Ours donโ€™t pay big like some of you guys have.

Our tournaments don't pay big either. It's the side betting that pays for new shoes. The club has wised up though and handles more of the betting and takes a cut lol.

40-42-82 at my "home course," Chippewa Golf Club in Curtice, OH today. Cool and breezy, but at least the sun was out all day, and it was a good day to play. I hit several good shots, but unfortunately not many of them were chips or putts.....only hit 2 greens, 31 putts.

I have to explain something that may appear as 'slightly unusual/perhaps unbelievable'.
I won a new putter a few months ago. A L.A.B Link 1, with an upgraded KBS Tour GPS shaft. It was a very professional build by a top clubmaker. Zero costs...absolutely free. And this sumbich has made me an even better putter. I've actually been embarrassed to post total putts, but have been in the 25-27 range since using this, the last 3 rounds. It truly does seem like it has GPS on the cup. Absolute nicest feeling putter I've ever held. And with what it sells for, I'm having a hard time not selling it.๐Ÿ˜…

But, today's round was an almost S-M-A round of 73, with just 25 putts.
          1 double
          1 birdie
          11 1 putts!!

I did buy a Zero Friction ball(orange) in the clubhouse, just for S&Gs. I gotta look these things up. Very nice feel, very long, and either due to my swing today or it's makeup, straight as an arrow.
