83 with 8 greens and 32 putts. Definitely a moral victory.

Short game was very good. Didn’t make much in the way of putts.
Flatter irons kept me in play. Now on my regular irons I have to undo the upright adjustment I just made before I took my video lesson. The lesson work has me making a flatter swing.

DonM 🤣

I've done the 'swap at the turn', it's why I posted that.
But, it wasn't for a reason of being PO'd. I had 2 sets and wanted to try both out quickly.

Then of course, sold both. 😲

99 in the senior golf league on Wednesday. Started with a quadruple bogey 8 on the first hole. I stopped spraying my drives right after 3-4 holes but couldn't do anything else well. The greens were absolutely terrible. Bumpy with clumps of poana grass in the dormant bermuda.

Shot 47/33 today. That 33 was not -3, lol. Two holes in the back 9 (a par 5 and a par 4) were under repair so converted to par 3s. But I'll take even par for 9 holes any day!

What a tale of two 9s. Two gir on the front (both 3-putts) and 22 putts. Seven gir on the back, one birdie, and 16 putts.

Shot 85 at Providence GC in Davenport FL yesterday to start our trip. 39 on the front but reality on the back.

My index has gone up so much so fast that I've hit the "soft cap". It's an anti-bagger thing. For the next year maybe, I can only go up at half of whatever it would have gone up for each change. No matter, unless I break 80 each of the next two rounds, it's going to keep going up, even at half speed. Because I have two sub-80s about to get pushed off the back end of the last 20 rounds.

I sure would love to get back down into the 70s.

Played Kings Ridge today and struggled to a 93. Much more difficult greens. Had some horrible bounces on the back 9. Still won money both days.

Another typical round of golf. 🙄

        Not played/swung a club since 7/16.
        Had surgery since.
        Lost 20+/- lbs., mostly muscle.
New driver, new irons, new putter, new 5 wood, new wedge in bag.
        Eyes are really bad.
Played last 3-4 holes in the dark.

        1. 😎

Typhoon 🤣My eyes have gone to hell(app't Tuesday). On those holes I'd hit driver then ask everyone where it went!! I could 'feel' where it went, but could not see it after 50' as it was really getting dark. And 'shooting blind' at greens is quite some fun!! Then there was the "Stevie Wonder' putting technique I used.😲

Carts were supposed to be in at 5:20. We got done at 6 and were not the only ones out there. I doubt they will complain too much when they announced on FB that it was a record rounds day!!

Par4QC Sounda like the foursome of retired guys I used to play with years ago. I was the eyes for the other 3. I remember as a kid playing the last few holes at night by feel.

sdandrea1 It was a nice day/nice round. I was a bit apprehensive about overdoing it out there 1st time back. Long layoff, and the muscle loss made it more worrisome. I can a little more turn it seems and probably should/will start some type of stretching.
But...seems I've gained about 20 off the tee😲. Had some real head scratchers right off the 1st hole. Due to the packed course and to keep things moving quicker, I used the whites instead of the gold(SR) tees, on a few holes. 1st hole was past where I would normally hit. Had several holes like that, most around 220. And with a brand new driver from @LogicalOne!! All in the FW, of course👍.

I was going to play today also, 72*, but I just cannot see. It was hell trying to see my ball unless I was within 5 yds. of it.
12:40 app't tomorrow to (hopefully) remedy that.
