75 (par 71) at Timber Greens. Had one birdied. Hit it pretty good today on less than 5 hours sleep due to the Super Bowl going into extra innings. Maybe I need to try less sleep more often.
How did you shoot today at Golf

I moved back to the white tees today. I get 3 more strokes on the 18. I still managed a 77 with only a few GIRs. Driver, 4h, chip, putt pars. Had one birdie (on our shortest par 4), 8 bogeys and 9 pars.
Nice winter day today, sunny and mild. I shot 87 with 4 greens and 33 putts. I’m not doing much of anything well. Putting is a struggle. I’m trying to tell myself that it’s conditions plus rust, but I don’t really believe that.
At a minimum, I have to decide on a different putter for tomorrow.
Played better today but still shitty. 46-47 at Whirlwind Cattail course. Changed out my putter but still had a couple of 3 putts on much bigger greens than the greens on Sunday. I had quadruple bogey and a couple of doubles due to terrible tee shots. I blame one of the guys we were playing with. Dude is a sales guy and never shuts up on the tee box. I would call him out on this but he has paid for at least 4 of my rounds of golf over the last couple of years, including $215 for today's round.

I'm teeing off at noon. Swapped out driver, putter, balls, and will be trying something different in my swing.
What could possibly go wrong?
Lately every decision I make on the course is wrong and ends up costing me big time. Or at least, I make it turn out to be the wrong decision. I'm going to go into George Costanza opposite mode today.
On the positive side, I just picked up a handicap stroke on our toughest par 3!
I forgot to mention. We also played with my buddies son who was visiting from Toronto. The kid is about 25 and he shot even par on the day with a double and triple on his card. Kid had at least 5 birdies and on the 350 yard par 4 16th, he came up 5 feet short of driving the green. No matter, he proceeded to chip in for eagle from 50 feet!! It was fun to watch.
I played yesterday for the first time since mid October. The results were about what I expected.
I hit some good shots and more bad shots. I had a bad case of "peeking" and I topped several shots.
Over all I was satisfied for the first round of the season. I'm finding that every year older I get it takes me more time in the spring to get my swing back to feeling natural. I used to just show up on the tee box
and hit the ball. By the end of the first round I was back to normal. Now my first time on the range I
really struggled and the second range session was a bit better. Yesterday's round was a bit more consistent but I still have a long ways to go to get back to feeling good about my swing.
Very nice day but breezy.
83 with 5 greens and 31 putts. My putting was much, much better. I switched from a counter balanced mallet to an anser style, and I lined up the ball. I hit my start line way better today and made some good putts for pars.
The bad holes were really bad, though. The wet dormant Bermuda around the greens can make you look real stupid. I’m in my third winter and I still struggle.
We had a 73 year old shoot 72 last week. He said he’s shot his age a few times. Jeesh.
