DonM But the old way sucks so I keep trying to fix it.
The Pros have been playing golf since most of them were probably 3-4 yrs. old. They have literally hit 1000s of balls, probably more in just 1 year than most all of us have in a lifetime. Something to think about. They sometimes practice 4-8 hrs./day, every day, when they are not in a tournament. They have had/do have instructors helping them maintain the same exact swing every ball they hit. If they want to change just any little thing in their swing, it is very difficult and takes quite a while for it to show effects in their game. A lot of times, they have to give it up and stay with what they have. That again, is after hitting 1000s of balls.
Most of us have not been playing since we were kids, and we are a lot further from 'being a kid' than those Pros are. We do not have instructors beside us every day, nor are we able to hit 100s of balls every day, nor will we, in order to ingrain any type of swing change, however small/large. So, I just don't think there is much hope for most of us (all of us??) to get anything positive from trying different swings found on the internet.
Forget the full swing, it is whatever it is already. Own it.....whatever it may be!!
Go with short game improvement & course management. Playing within oneself. Know the weaknesses, know the strengths.
End of round....it's all about the score, esp. if $$ is on the line. Not what your swing was, or how it looked.
jmo as always.😉
