Meaning their downswing hand path is over the hand path they took on the backswing. On his channel he points out numerous golfers who's hand path down is over their backswing hand path.
Most people assume over the top always means the shaft plane is over the backswing plane. Doesn't have to be. In any case many teachers preach the clubhead has to get back in front of you down into impact.
