A little over a month since hip replacement surgery... went to the practice range and worked on chipping and putting this weekend. Having not touched a club in over 2 years, I didn't expect much.
Happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Holed several putts outside of 10 feet, missed only a couple of short knee knockers, and fatted only two of approximately 30 chip shots. Nearly holed out a few times from about 40 feet!
Probably won't be until August timeframe before I'm back making full swings, as I want to make sure that I'm ready to go at a ball again without any reservations. Between now and then I need to build back some muscle and incorporate a much-needed stretching regimen into my daily routine. Hoping to drop another 20 pounds before then also.
But overall, extremely pleased that my short game and putting haven't deteriorated too terribly much!
