Here are the catches:
Lots of hilly lies.
A few greens that are hard to pull the right club because of elevation change. The ones that are below the fairway are hard to figure. If you land short it hits on a downhill and shoots through the green and that’s NG.
More than half the greens don’t have a bailout that you can allow for. If you miss the green or fringe, you’re in sand or hitting a lofted shot.
Some bunkers in middles of fairways.
There’s a lot of places to hit it solid and still lose a stroke.
There’s a bunch of guys who don’t hit or chip any better than me but they know all the do’s and don’ts so they score better than me. It keeps me interested!
