Played in the team game. Shot 37+42 79 with no birdies. I made some amazing par saving putts on the front. Just ran out of energy on the back nine, started hitting fat and thin etc. I parred all the par fives, which I never do. I missed a couple of painfully short putts on the back. Like 2 footers. I was really leaking oil.
Not counting putts or drives, the shot of the day was a 5 hybrid into the wind to 20 feet on an elevated green. I had a sandy from a fairway bunker and one from a greenside bunker, which is nice. Oh wait, that’s the shot of the day. I pured it, hit the pin and it was stone dead.
Our team cleaned up money wise. Our C player was an 89 year old guy. He plays a gold/red combo, and shot 79. He knows the read on every putt on the course by heart. I let him read my putts and it was like having a caddie.
