It was not, a good day. Started off bad before the 1st swing, but won't get into that.
I like wind, but it was cold as heck when the sun went in, and I had the short pants on, but did bring a jacket, which did not help much. Really no good tee shots, or any shots for that matter. Although, badly hit drivers(which was 14) went unexpectedly longer than I thought they should, so the SIM might just be 'something'. The P-790 blades performed as well as could be expected, given the conditions/state of mind.
Did have a couple "incidents" I've never encountered in my golf life, and both happened in the same round?
#9 tee shot ended up behind a very tall evergreen, but had plenty of room to play forward. IF, the ball had made it clear of the top. Hit the very tip of the last branch, and disappeared. Forever. Never came down and could be seen way up near the top.
#11 second shot, over water took a deep dive, after what I thought was a good hit to easily clear. Dropped another, same shot, easy-peasy. When I got up closer to the green, my son was laughing and asked did I see 'that'? I asked what 'that' was and he said our balls hitting in midair.....mine going to drink and his going to green; explaining the sudden right turn mine took to the water.
