It used to be, I'd play a good round, the next one would be terrible. Probably because golf will never let you get too confident.
The last two rounds, I've managed to condense good/terrible into one round. Both weeks, I played great on the front only to follow up with a terrible back nine. Today I shot 40 on the front, one of my best nines in a long time. I won't even talk about my back nine. The total score was probably about average for me, but it sure is disappointing to start out well and finish poorly, although I did par the last hole. Maybe the 105+ heat index has something to do with it.
