Walterjn Good for you for quitting...!!! My dad was one of four brothers. The three who did NOT
smoke all lived into their 90's with very few health issues. The one who smoked (1-2 packs a day for his whole
adult life) died at 76 of emphysema.

Camels are horrible. I didn't smoke for long, but if I had started with those I probably would have stopped immediately.

KCee The pro shop is like a cigarette ad museum. You open the drawer etc… and you see Winston, Camel, Kools, Viceroy.

One guy probably won’t be back, he smokes like a chimney. The last 2 years he was out of work the back half of the year. Bad enough to get old and have things like Covid around but to smoke as well… he wasn’t a very healthy guy to start with.

Typhoon I have 2 buddies that are still smoking. Mostly vaping now, but still haven't kicked cigarettes completely. One guy I just don't get. Smokes constantly, is over 50 and won't get vaxxed. That said it will probably be some crazy girlfriend that actually kills him lol.

Lovely sunny and calm, almost windless, day ... not at all what was in the forecast. Out for a few holes late afternoon on my own, birdied #1. Winter green in play and hole was bucket sized - who cares? Driving the ball well and 5w a high flying straight rocket (still playing off a mat). Irons average, short on a few, didn't allow enough for low temps, or for the mount of backspin I was getting on soft greens (spun a couple right off the suckers). Putting was very good considering the condtions.

That’s how they could speed up play… screw everything else, trash can sized holes. And to all the pundits who think the ball goes too far… leave it alone, shrink the hole size to half of what it is now.

There were only 2 of those in the 14 holes I played, thank you. And they tend to cut them in very slopy parts of the fairway.

I played golf for the first time since early December. I wondered how I was going to hit it. First drive and first iron were straight as a arrow. Parred the first hole. Went home.

Actually it wasn't to bad. I'm, at best, a bogey golfer. Nothing worse than a double. Ended up with a 92. That's decent for me.

Beautiful day. I wish I had worn shorts.

84 at Landsbrook. Not my favorite course. This is the third time I’ve played it and hopefully the last. 😏Lost 1 match and tied two. Won two greenies.

The course is real tight. Bowling alley tight. And lots of trees. So if you’re off line forget it. Hit several 3 woods off the tee.

One positive note is their overseed wasn’t bad. Actually had some grass to hit off of. They’re known for their fast greens. And they were fast. Almost pool table fast. I do like their par 3’s though.

Joey’s for lunch. A nice salad and a bowl of chicken and lentil soup. $7.95 including drink. Back to some home cooking Monday at Timber Greens.😎

Another round in the zone. 76 today. No double bogeys, 1 birdie, 11 pars and 6 bogies for a 5-over (par 71). Solid ball striking and no idea why. PING Craz-E was hot.

Best type of ball striking is when it just happens. Just ride it without thinking. If you have a little feel / key great. If not, ride that puppy for as long as it lasts.
