I find courses that don’t over seed their fairways in the winter to be tough to hit irons off of. Tight lies are not easy.
A lot of people (including me) struggle with tight lies.
I’m playing Timber Greens this morning where they over seeded the fairways and they don’t scalp their fairways when mowing either. More forgiveness for sure. A little cushion of grass is easier to hit an iron off of.
Plus, Florida with its sandy soil and where divots explode is harder in general than fairways up north. So don’t beat yourself up that bad. 😎
