I finally got out for nine holes today. Haven't played at all in January of February. Suffering from a moderate case of tennis elbow of the right arm, so I wasn't sure if I was really going to be able to play.
Parred the first hole and parred the ninth hole. Hit some pretty good shots in between, but also had three penalty shots. Putted poorly on greens that were much faster than i am used to. Ended up with a 44. Could've been a lot better, but I was just happy to be out there enjoying the 70 weather.
On the eighth hole I had 200 yards in from the center of the fairway with a faint wind behind. Normally I would use a three wood there, but the pin was in front, so I hit 5-wood. I didn't think I could get it to the green. Absolutely killed it, and ended up 20 yards past the green!
So, I guess for the first round of the season I showed some promise. The arm hurt after, but it wasn't debilitating.
