Mattyv Great to play with you again Matt! And thanks for being my good luck charm, I was hoping to break my chain of over 80s rounds, and did that shockingly easily.
I was not expecting to play well. Went to the range yesterday and it was a disaster. I've been working on moving the ball position closer to me at address. Yesterday at the range was shank city. So I had low expectations today.
Got off to a quick start hitting fairways and greens, -1 through 4. But then just that quick, my irons went away. Missed the next 5 greens and only saved one par. +3 on the front nine. Pulled a drive on #10 (par 5), and had to play down an adjacent fairway. My 2nd shot got a lucky hop in the trees to give a clear shot with a wedge. From then on hit every green and every fairway coming in.
