Busy today but grabbed the pencil bag and 7 clubs for a quick 9 late afternoon. Neat 38, 4 bogeys and 5 pars. Couple of the bogeys were down to only having an A wedge in my bag; it doesn't have the stopping power of my 52 or 56 Miuras. Irons were long, twice I put a 9i to the back of the green from 130-140, rolled out to about 150 at least. Hit a par 3 green with a 7i - it's 161 yards, uphill ...
Anyway the point of the round was to (finally) slide the back weight on my Cally Epic Flash to draw bias and it did exactly what it said on the tin. Maybe a little too much as I had diffficulty hitting a fade on a hole that's easier with that shape; I'll take some of the bias out and try again.
Oh and I turned my last tee shot way too much left - combination of setup and bad swing - and heard the ball clatter into a tree over the brow of a hill. Got up to find my ball on #7 green, must have shot left and back off the tree. Free drop, used the A wedge to go over the trees I must have hit, back to the fairway. 9i from 140 out to 5' short and holed it for a par. Happy days.
