Sucks that I'm missing this one. First miss in over 20 years.
2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open
I never get tired of watching that.
Always a fun TV event. Sorry you're going to miss the live action. Won't be the same without a gazillion drunken fans on #16.
It will be interesting to see a milder crowd on 16. They are allowing 5K fans in per day for the whole course. Limiting the 16th to 2K fans per day.. Also they only did a single level structure around it this year from what I read.
I am also a bit disappointed to not be going. My banker always hooks me up with final round suite tickets on 16. I took the misses last year and she had fun and she has no interest in golf at all. Hopefully next year I can have this view back.

Amy is awesome. I got to meet her at a charity event last year.

Not my fav course but the event is certainly unique and looks like a great party.
imagine the shock and awe if patrons acted like this at stodgy , stuck up ANGC. All the Judge Smails members would lose their shite.
Hole #16 when I played it last and thankfully parred it. Hard to recognize it without the stands, isn't it?

the first time we played I didn't even recognize it.
amazing how they can turn a boring, easy , unremarkable par 3 into one of the most talked about holes in golf
i still prefer the Champions course to the Stadium , conditioning might not be as good . When we played the Stadium in 2019 they had closed it for a couple months just prior and it was the best shape of the several times we have been there
I've been to Scottsdale more times than I can count (inlaws live in Grayhawk), but I only went to that tournament once and it was mid 90's I think. I played the course back then too, but not since. Once my inlaws joined a club we stopped golfing all over. It is amazing how much that place and tournament have grown since then.
View of 18 from the clubhouse...
Rahm's 272 yard 5w just now was fantastic.
