brownmoose13 I know that I am not the only one waiting to have the charity or charities listed.
Chuck,
While I know I shouldn't kick a troll, on this one, I find it hard not to.
A little history - Not that I expect you to read it all.
Started SMT Golf in February of 2002, that same fall, SMT won two of the only three Longdrive Championships available above every other equipment manufacturer on the planet.
After that, me and the SMT brand was written up in over 70 golf publications and online articles. Features in golf magazines in the UK, Australia and more.
I traveled multiple times to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China and Taiwan to build the brand to help dealers sell through the product.
SMT won over 300 longdrive titles in 13 countries, was used on Tour, played in the Dunhill Cup, and perhaps still is the longest driver on any PGA Tour in the world ( I stopped checking to be honest).
Upon the death of my mother to lung cancer in the spring of 2009, my focus shifted immediately.
My only thoughts were on raising money for charities and groups who needed that help In that first season, I only did 19 events. It was a lean year.
10 years later, 2019, I did 354 events in one year.
I employ 39 people.
in 2011 SMT events won the Golf Business Innovator Of The Year Award from Golfaid.com
That makes two businesses in a row that have won awards.
You can see well over 60 customer testimonials written to me from events I have done. I don't know about you, but I have never written to a company that I love, even Pepsi for their Mt. Dew. Must be doing something right.
over 20% of the fundraising options I provide, I provide at absolutely no cost. Let that sink in for a second. As foreign as that is to you. I do things for free. Over 20% of the stuff I offer!
I have created a program where I give back 100% of the money that I make for these groups the very day that we are there. 100% !
Breaking that down for you, albeit slowly.... I bring the games for the events, I supply the prizes for the games to the players who win, I bring and pay for the staff to run the games and 100% OF THE MONEY GOES TO THE CHARITY OR GROUP.
Let me put it this way. I have literally help millions of dollars in my hands since 2009 and I gave it all away!
Great business model huh?
All this time, and you are questioning me!
All this time, YOU are up here, contributing NOTHING to the forum, except for the random size 14, "almost new" brown and orange Foot Joys that "are a steal" at whatever price you put on them.
Trust me that I do NOT need to offer t-shirts. I think it will be fun. I do not need to have the charity angle, I thought it to be a nice tie in with what I do and what I do successfully especially with so many hurting for the past year. But you want to turn it another way. That's fine. I expect nothing less.
During these rough Covid times Chuck, I wish you and your family well.
I suggest that you take the advise of the ancients and smear lambs blood around your door so the sickness passes over your household.
It would be a shame to lose such a treasure as yourself.
Be well, be safe.
