I have used 3 different grips in the past 8-10 years Black widow, Pure, and Iomic's.... I am thinking about making a permanent switch. What have you guys us...

All my clubs have this grip save for a set of Cleveland CG 15 oil can wedges, 52* and 56*. The original grips are starting to get a little dry rot going. So will be regripping them soon and will put them back in play in the Spring.

Gatorman I was always a Lamkin cord guy, but I developed hand pain so I switched to Golf Pride CP2 Pro and Winn Dry Tac. Both are really good.
The cord was fine on the course, but I am 6-8 rounds and 15 range matt sessions a year so I switched.

Taki27 Yeah, I got a set of the UTX grips dirt cheap last season and played them all summer. My hands would hurt after every round, then I found out they are corded, but you can't see it like other cord grips. I didn't play that set this year, and my hands have been great. I'll need to change them out. Shame, as DTG has them now for only $3.99, and they are very nice grips.

colej have no idea. Just started over the summer. It’s the interlocking fingers that hurt, but don’t play enough to get used to overlapping. I take a few Advil and start off with some wood or long iron swings till the pain goes down. I swear, when I finally retire and have a chance to play, my body is going to give up on me.

I have used the Lamkin Performance Plus since they came out up until last year when my last ones needed replacement. I have moved onto the Lamkin Sonar Plus and am going to try a Sonar Plus wrap on a club or two this year although I really like the Sonar Plus.

I used Avon Chamois jumbos for years before I switched to Winn. They are heavier than the Winns but good and durable. Two years ago I tried the Chamois II. They are a totally different soft and stick compound that I liked but they apparently didn't sell well and were discontinued I think though I haven't searched for then in awhile.

How durable are the Winn's? I have liked the durability of the Chamois, didn't think of Winn's as durable grips, or good in the rain (yes, my last experience with Winn's was a log, long time ago!)

wishbone As I said before, no grip is perfect. My complaint about Winns is they don't seem to last more than 1 season (for me at least). Love the feel of them when they are new, but by the end of the year, mine become dry and 'rough' where my thumbs rest on the grip (maybe it's the way I hold the club?). I haven't played in the rain much lately, but that was an early complaint against Winn too.
