Gatorman I have used 3 different grips in the past 8-10 years Black widow, Pure, and Iomic's.... I am thinking about making a permanent switch. What have you guys used? Tour wrap? Tour velvet?
Taki27 Gatorman I was always a Lamkin cord guy, but I developed hand pain so I switched to Golf Pride CP2 Pro and Winn Dry Tac. Both are really good. The cord was fine on the course, but I am 6-8 rounds and 15 range matt sessions a year so I switched.
azgreg I was a long term Lamkin Crossline guy but switched to the Golf Pride Tour Velvet +4 midsize and can't see myself switching away any time soon.
Typhoon I like the +4 grips from Golf Pride. I have the MCC on my Nike Irons and to save money I’ll go to the Tour Velvet Plus 4. I’ve always been a Tour Velvet fan. Driver... I have been using Lamkin 3 Gen with 3 wraps. It’s like Tour Velvet but I like it for driver.
raggmann54 Winn Dry Tac in Midsize...Going to try the new Winn less tapered grip to help out with the arthritis/tendonitis...Tried them on 1 club for 2 rounds and like them.
Rickochet raggmann54 Winn Dry Tac in Midsize...Going to try the new Winn less tapered grip to help out with the arthritis/tendonitis...Tried them on 1 club for 2 rounds and like them. I have been playing Winn jumbo grips for many years primarily the Excel. I like the feel and reduced taper. I played the Winn DriTac jumbos for several seasons. Last summer I tried the new Winn DriTac LT jumbos and played them all summer and are now my fav grip. Great for an old geezer with sweaty hands and some arthritis.
shokosugi Leather grips for me- they generally outlast my clubs as I usually ho before changing grips, although I'm probably not switching my sterlings anytime soon and I usually keep the same shaft when I upgrade my drivers, just change the adapter if needed. No glove needed and perfect for our rainy weather up here in Vancouver!
Spuzz pellmell DTG Velvet standard size. Most of my clubs have these grips on them. No issue with size. The thinness is perfect for me. I like the Tacki Mac Itomic for drivers only.
FauxAmish braveheart All my clubs have this grip save for a set of Cleveland CG 15 oil can wedges, 52* and 56*. The original grips are starting to get a little dry rot going. So will be regripping them soon and will put them back in play in the Spring.
Doug I have been using the Royal V sand grip which is ribbed. They also sell a kit of 13 relatively cheap. Golfworks
MartinD I've used Lamkin Crosslines a fair bit, but tend to use Lamkin Perma Wrap when I can get them - an older grip, but they work well for me (and last really well, as in several years of regular play for me...)
fatshot MartinD Ditto on the Lamkin Perma Wraps. They wear like iron....I have had mine on and off several sets of clubs now, and they still feel like new with a little care!
Mattyv I am typically a Lamkin grip guy. Prefer Midsize and usually go with what is on sale. I did recently go with some Champsky grips I found on Amazon but will most likely switch back to Lamkin when they need to be changed out. The DTG grips are very good for the price also.
