Walterjn Here's a question for you all.
What color epoxy do I want? Off white, or black??
The shaft is pearlescent white, and the adapter looks to be black.

The cream color epoxy has one part amber and one part white. When mixed it comes out as a cream color. The black has one part black and one amber and comes out almost black. It is a builder's preference. Most clubs will not show either after clean up after assembly. Some prefer the black because it will show less if any. My preference is the cream color because you can visually tell when it is properly mixed. I have used both and both are ok. Your choice.

My preference is 24 hr. shafting epoxy made by the Hardman Corp. Here is a link for an 8 oz. kit 2 - 4oz. bottles from a small golf supplier in Louisville that I have dealt with for years. Decent prices and quick shipping.

I picked those two options as I am trying to do one stop shopping, and if it all works out, I'll be able to pick it all up tomorrow morning on my way home.

Ok, I just got home from Thermal. Yes I was able to make a quick stop and pick up the shaft adapter I have needed.
Here is the mock-up. Without the ferrule

Bad news, the adapter and ferrule are a little bit short.
Good news, I have some white paint the looks like a close base, and I have clear with white pearl mixed in. While looking for the white pearl, I happened to find the Red, Gold, orange, blue & green, red & green, blue, and violet pearl mixed in clear... Looks like I'm going to be painting 1st. That little gap would bother me. If it ends up chipping and flaking off later, that's fine.
I'll post pics after I get the paint and clear/ pearl done.

Walterjn Not surprised to see that, but did forget that maybe your ferrule would not be as long as the one on my adapter.

I have not read all the posts, but has the shaft been butt cut to length yet? If no, then just tip it that small amount that's showing and problem solved.

ode the shaft has already been gripped and set to go. A little bit of paint is easy. I haven't had a reason to play with pearls in more than a few years, so that will be nice.

That little amount, I'd just put some black fingernail polish around it, but that's me. Ode and Spuzz's way works too, if you have something to cut it with, without fucking it up. Believe me, it can be fucked up if you don't have the right tool to cut it.

Just order some Golfworks 24 hr epoxy. I can get it @ Golf Galaxy for $6.95 + tax. If you want, I'll get some and ship it to you. Still cheaper than the stuff you listed. If you order it from Golfworks, still cheaper.

1st quick coat of white paint. I figure that I can give it another one tomorrow sometime and then hit it with the pearl clear. I might toss a little bit of the violet pearl in just for giggles...
Let me see what kind of epoxy I can find that is strong and impact resistant.

You are better off with epoxy that is golf specific.
You can find stuff that holds well, but you may find it takes too much heat to undo it, which is no good for golf stuff.

Typhoon a little bit of paint and I will never notice it at address. Not sure that I am going to spray the white pearl on it...
